The Great North of Scotland Railway Association - to give it its fomal title (or GNSRA) - is a friendly group that holds a couple of meetings each year in Aberdeen and organises a summer outing to discover what is left of the railway. For just £20 per year, GNSRA members receive the quarterly Great North Review (right), an A4 size magazine which features articles, photographs and queries about the railway, plus news of current events, book reviews, etc., plus the following benefits:- discounts on all our publications latest information on modelling kits available and prototype details in our drawing and photo collections optional membership of members’ internet Chat Line GNSRA has an extensive archive of photographs and drawings (the vast majority of which has now been digitised), together with small artefacts. We actively seek to add to that collection and to make it accessible to members. Material of significant importance is lodged with local libraries or at the Grampian Transport Museum, to ensure conservation and safe-keeping. Currently our membership stands at over 300, spread all over the country, with a number from Europe and beyond. Members' interests vary widely, from historical to present day, from research to modelling. Click on the image (on left) to download an application form.
