A refurbished class 120 Swindon DMU passes the down distant signal for Inverurie in the winter of 1978. On a freezing 9 Jan 1982 a class 26 leaves Inverurie with the 10.38 Inverness to Aberdeen train, the top of the Bass in the churchyard is visible above the rear coach. A class 25 with its partner already run round prepares to take liquified gas tanks from Inverurie station back to Port Elphinstone paper mill in this undated winter scene.

What Santa used till he was forced to transfer to present day road couriers. A pair of class 26's have made it to Fraserburgh thro the winter snows, the date is uncertain but probably between mid to late 1960's.
