A general view of an intact layout at Fraserburgh in the early 60's, the steam loco on shed is probably working the St. Combs branch. The approaches to Fraserburgh with the down main Buchan signals intact and the St Comb's ones removed place this shot probably around the summer of 1965. A re-engined NB type 2 waits to take a freight south from Fraserburgh in this late 60's shot, one of the running in boards is still in place, hopefully it found a good home?
In this undated photo from the late Frank Guthrie collection an NB2 heads south through the closed Mormond Station. 62267 on an evening run to Craigellachie is seen in this early fifties shot at Balllindalloch. 6879 stands at the former GNSR station in Elgin in early LNER days.
D6140 on the 1.30 to Peterhead on 24 Apr 1965, the famed 'Refresh' at Maud and its adjacent store for beer aka the water tower, are adjacent to the front of the loco.
