The black 5 A4 duo prepare to hand over to type 2 Sulzers after arrival at Aberdeen with the grand Scottish rambler on 25 Mar 1967, attitudes were clearly relaxed about getting the perfect photo. A Craven's DMU at Wartle with a BLS special heading back to Aberdeen from Turriff on 5 Jun 1965. This gantry of platform starters at Fraserburgh replaced a lower quadrant lattice version which had probably succumbed to decades of salty air, the box shut on 27 June 1966. B12 61539 passes the water tower at Maud with a fish train ex Peterhead in Aug 1949, they say the base of the tower was ideal for keeping the refreshment rooms' beer cool in the summer! 6854 on the 12.49 ex Aberdeen near Mintlaw Station, Aug 1938.
