D6145 seen at Fraserburgh in July 65 only earned a living for another 2 years and was scrapped in 1968, this scene is now occupied by the rear of the Job Centre. The last service to run from Ballater during daylight hours arrives at Park on 26 Feb 1966. Demolition train at Park level crossing Oct 1970. Nethy Bridge Station gates are closed behind a railbus service on 25 Aug 1964.
Nethy Bridge Station in the summer of 1962. D5313 approaches Nethy Bridge Station on 2 Nov 1968 with the Aberdeen bound GNSRA special returning from Aviemore, this was the last passenger train to run on along the Speyside route. The 18 coach grand Scottish tour snakes past Nethy Bridge Station on 25 Mar 1967 behind D5070 and D5127.
